Bolt arrived as an owner surrender due to multiple training and fear issues. He is a gelding who was a stallion earlier in life, and was castrated late. We found that Bolt's issues did not stem from behavioral problems. but from physical issues. He has EPSM, and a severe hind end weakness that limits the control he has over his rear legs. We have tried several months of rehabilitative care and exercises, but Bolt has not improved. In our professional opinion, Bolt is not physically able to safely carry a rider.
