Lakota

482.jpg

Descended from a herd in Nevada, Lakota is a true Mustang with a BLM brand.  She has been patiently started over the last year using only natural horsemanship techniques; and the result is a trusting and affectionate mare who LOVES people.  Lakota is going well under saddle and has 30 days of professional training.  She's solid walk/trot/canter, but is green to leg aids, seat aids, and headset.  Just a nice, good horse who makes good decisions and always tries to please.

Lakota loads, ties, bathes, sprays, blankets, and stands well for Vet and Farrier.  No vices!!!!   She has left her wild days far behind, and prefers to be stalled during inclement weather.  Lakota stands at the gate shivering in the mildest of rains, and her fly mask is mandatory on sunny days when the flies are out.  Lakota has quickly domesticated and appreciates the finer touches in equine life.
