Gentle Giants is proud to announce that we are now offering Riding Lessons with two exceptional Instructors.  Both Instructors are very gifted with their students, and tailor each lesson to the students needs and goals.

Laura DiFranco, Advanced Riding Instructor:  Laura has an extensive background in the Hunter/Jumper Showring, but she now concentrates on training and teaching balanced seat riding, and creating confident and secure riders out of any student!  Laura focuses her energies on students with a strong desire and determination to grow and challenge themselves. Her lessons are informative, fun, energized, and a WORKOUT!  Lessons are offered in the disciplines of Dressage, Hunters/Jumpers, and Western Pleasure.  We encourage our students to expand their horizons and explore different disciplines to create a more well-rounded rider.

Becky Porter, Beginner Riding Instructor:  Becky has a lifetime love of horses, and was once an exercise rider at the racetrack!  She now enjoys the principles of Dressage and Pleasure riding.  Becky is kind and patient, and her infectious sense of humor lends a relaxed and airy feeling to her lessons.  Becky creates an environment that allows each student to learn at their own pace, fostering their growth but never pushing.  Becky is gifted with teaching beginning riders, or riders overcoming fears.  She is also available to teach children.  Becky's kind guidance can give any rider the skills and confidence needed to one day advance into any chosen discipline.   Becky currently has openings on Sundays from 3:30pm -6pm.  Please call Christine to schedule an appointment.   One Hour Private: $50 Half Hour Private: $35 One Hour Shared Lesson: $35 per person Please call Christine at 443-285-3835 to reserve your time!

Lesson Rules:

1.  Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to groom and tack your horse.  Someone can assist you if you need help.  If you are a very new rider, your lesson will begin with tacking.  2.  All riders must wear long pants and a closed toe boot with a heel for riding. 3.  Helmets must be worn by students while mounted.  We strongly suggest bringing your own, but we can supply one for you if needed.  4.  Lessons must be purchased in blocks of 4. 5.  Cancellations must be received no less than 24 hours in advance, or the lesson is forfeited.  6.  Students are expected to walk out and cool their mount; and to clear the arena of cones, jumps, barrels, and manure for the next rider.  7.  Students are asked to return their tack to the tack room. 8.  Please no dogs at the barn!
