Cinder, Adopted by Becky Porter July 11, 2008
Cinder stole Becky's heart right away, and Becky dedicated herself to Cinder through Sponsorship and volunteering time to help gentle and train her. We hope to stay close with both of them, and have a Conder/Twister trail ride reunion!

Carley, Adopted by Carol Houck, June 2007
  Carol has found a friend in Carley, and through their time together Carol has transformed Carley into an amazing trail horse! Picture coming following our great weekend trail riding!

Isaac and Gabriel, Adopted by Amy Rocklin
  Amy fell in love with Gabe's bad boy attitude, and her husband fell in love with Isaac good nature. Together they boys are doing well on thier gorgeous and spacious farm, along with Amy's Irish Draught.

Tink and Preacher, Adopted by Carol Patterson
  Tink and our beloved Preacher went to join Carol in Arkansas, to retire into lives of luxury in her care. Carol had been the Adopter of Rosie, who she tragically lost this past year.

Annie and Freedom, Adopted by Kim Malinowski May 2007
Kim and her family chose to open their hearts and their home to Annie and Freedom. Freedom gets to be a pasture puff with no responsibilities except being lovingly groomed; and Kim and Annie ride the neighborhood and go on long walks together!

Zoey, Adopted by Dick Dodson 11/29/07
Zoey has found a new home with Dick, a passionate trail rider, and the two plan on exploring the trails at Canterbury Farms together, along with Trainer Linda Pendleton.

Willy and Waylon, Adopted by Ryan Thomas 11/26/07
"The Boys" finally met thier match with Ryan, who has used good training and pure determination to turn this driving team into trail riding buddies! See you on the Patapsco River trails!

Beltane and Miss Mabel, Adopted by Barbara Bell 11/14/07
The famous Beltane will be living in the lap of luxury with his preferred companion, Miss Mabel, at the prestigious Matilda Bay Farms in Shepherdstown WV. Barbara and her sister now plan to enjoy the canal on horseback!

Salem, Adopted by Beth Burns 11/03/07
Salem will be joining Beth's crew as a loaner trail horse for her friends and family to ride with her on trails.  She has a very handsome Fox Trotter gelding that Salem became smitten with at first sight!

Jacob and Double Decker, Adopted by United In Light
Both Jacob and Double Decker have been lovingly taken in by United in Light, a Draft Horse Sanctuary in Montana!  The pair will live out their days in complete leisure, with tons of attention.  Check up on them at www.draftrescue.com!

Cloverdale and Tobias, Adopted by Ingrid Cooper 9/08/07
Ingrid and her family adopted these two old boys into their family for the kids and husband to play upon! Both boys are enjoying a retirement of lush, expansive pastures with a few BLM mustangs for company! Pics of Toby to come...

Phoebe, Adopted by Margaret Hague 9/5/07
Phoebe and Margaret have set a record for farthest Adoption...CALIFORNIA!! Phoebe is joining Margaret out west and is now our first cross country adoption. Best of luck to you both in your new life together, and thank you Margaret for coming all the way across the country for the love of one special horse.

Sassafras and Addi, Adopted by the Talbot Family 9/04/07
Sassy and Addi will be backyard horses, living a life of relaxation and sharing the family farm with goats and a miniature horse. We hope to see you out on the trail!

Amos, Adopted by Dr. Meyers 9/02/07
Amos will be GREATLY missed here, but he happily joins Dr. Meyers crew of several horses, donkeys, and a herd of Alpacas!!!  The whole family will enjoy Amos on trails.

Jezebel, Adopted by Tyler Michael and Family 6/19/07
Jezzie will be spoiled rotten and always well dressed, living the life of luxury at High Ridge Farm. She will be Tylers camp and show horse, and the family pleasure horse. Have fun, Tyler and Jezz!!!

Gypsy, Adopted by the Dixon Family 5/24/07
Gypsy will be a great family horse for everyone, and it was love at first sight for Gypsy and their Quarter Horse Gelding! Hopefully we'll be seeing you guys on the trails!

Chessie, Adopted by Kerri Maguire 5/10/07
Kerri adopted Chessie into her clan as a trusty trail horse and loaner for friends. They will both be joining us on camping trips and lots of trail rides! Here is Kerri teaching Finnigan to ride, too!

Chase, Adopted by Mary Allen 5/06/07
Chase was the star of the Scott Purdum Clinic, and Mary did just as well as he did! Mary has renamed him Chauncey, and the two have formed a great bond. Way to go Mary, you have put your heart into this horse, and did what no one else could!

Big Ben, Adopted by Donna Collins 4/05/07
Big Ben will be joining Donna and her Appaloosa gelding Dakota at Hunt View Farm, where he will be living a life of equine luxury! We hope to see you both on the White's Ferry trail!

Barney, Adopted by Dr. Lynn Facemire 4/01/07
Barney has been lucky enough to be adopted by Dr. Facemeyer, an Equine Vet with Monocacy Equine. She will be attending to all of his needs as he lives out his life as a loveable companion horse and pleasure mount. Lucky Barney!

Rosie, Adopted by Carol Patterson 3/24/07
Rosie lived to be of ripe old age, but she sadly passed away in October due to a colic. Rosie was deeply loved by Carol and her son Elijah, and while another may occupy her stall, no one will ever take her place.

Chantilly Lace, Adopted by Ed Lind 2/20/07
Chantilly will be enjoying a life of quiet pleasure riding with the company of two handsome Quarter Horses, lots of dogs, and a flock of chickens.

Ivy fell in love with Tati just by her picture, which is a good thing- Tati was uncharacteristically snotty on their first meeting! She is now lovingly nicknamed Tater Tot, and is a companion to Ivy's standardbred mare, Erica.

Calista, Adopted by Susan Alexander 11/09/06
Calista tragically passed away unexpectedly of an unknown GI problem, possibly cancer, in February 07. Though her life was tragically cut short, Susan blessed her with a loving home.

Lily, Adopted by Michelle Curtain on 4/19/06
Lily has an important job to do in Long Island- being Michelle's relaxing "cocktail horse"!(that means she can't let Michelle spill her drink!) Michelle is a wildlife rehabilitator with Second Chance Wildlife Rescue, please check them out and offer support at www.secondchancewildliferescue.org. They have wolves!

Jenny and Clancy, Adopted by the Richards Family 3/05/06

The Richards family have offered Jenny and Clancy both a great home at the family farm.  Jenny will be a trail horse for the kids, and Clancy will be mainly for Dad,  who only wants to mosey along!  I'm very jealous that Will was the very first person ever to get Jenny to canter!     



Tonic, Adopted by Susan Morrison 3/03/06
Susan and Tonic have a wonderful way of getting on together! They will be training to compete in JOUSTING...old fashioned full contact jousting, not the sissy kind! And Tonic will be keeping his name, because as Susan says:"He cures what ails her!" We can't wait for photos!

Mendocino, Adopted by Tom Adams 1/28/06
Congratulations to Tom on his Adoption of Mendocino. Mendocino finally found his perfect person in Tom, and we think Tom just found his perfect horse in 'Cino. Mendocino is loved by many and will be greatly missed here, but what a nice pair these two make!

While here at the rescue working on Gin's shoes, Zach fell in love with Jake! The two are quite a pair on the trail, and now Jake is at Sunset Valley Farm, and is renamed "Big John". And Zach can finally ride without his feet dragging the ground!

Sweet Pea (now Dear Abby), Adopted by Lorna Collins 1/13/06
Little Sweet Pea is a very lucky girl to have found Lorna, who has lavished her with love and adoration from first sight. What a great home, and such a happy ending to what could have been a very sad story. This cute girl is now officially named DEAR ABBY. How cute! Thank you, Lorna!

Cleo, Adopted by Susan Frank 12/14/05
Susan saw straight through Cleo's scared and timid exterior to the sporthorse hidden underneath!  And Cleo has flourished in her care, and is now bright, bold, and trusting!  We'll all be seeing them in the show ring before too long!

Erin, Marcia, and the whole neighborhood were there to welcome Big Red into his new home! Big Red will be a trail and parade horse in his new home, and will also be giving some lessons. Congratulations, and happy trails to Big Red and Erin!

Jill searched for her perfect horse for almost two years, and it took her about five minutes to fall in love with Percy! Percy settled into her new home as if she had always been there. Congratulations to Jill and Percy for a match made in heaven!

Our fondest memories go with Grace, who passed away at Gentle Giants quietly on June 15, 2006 shortly after returning home. We will all miss you Grace, you were such a magical horse.
